Chris King

Chris King is a Director at our Ryde, Isle of Wight office and specialises in children law proceedings, including care proceedings, adoption, special guardianship and other children proceedings, particularly where a Local Authority / Children’s Services are involved with the children.

Chris qualified as a Solicitor in 2000, is a member of the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation Scheme (as a Parent and Children’s Representative) and has considerable experience in matters relating to children.

Chris is passionate about his work and is regularly instructed by family members and Children’s Guardians to represent them in what are often complex cases.  Chris has dealt with a number of cases involving concerns around neglect, children having suffered non-accidental injuries, cases involving allegations of sexual abuse and cases which feature drug and/or alcohol misuse.  Chris is able to offer a sensible and pragmatic approach to cases and strong representation where required.
