PA/Paralegal – Conveyancing – North End

The Firm

Biscoes is a well-established and growing law firm situated on the South Coast and Isle of Wight. We pride ourselves in providing a professional approach in a friendly environment.

The role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced PA or Paralegal to join our Residential Conveyancing Department to be based at our North End office. Working directly with the Head of Department you will support them in all day to day activities to include typing of correspondence, liaising with clients, other firms and estate agents, scanning of important documents and ensuring that all files are kept in order and compliant with CQS and Lexcel quality standards.

The Ideal Candidate

An experienced PA or Paralegal who is pro-active, has excellent client care skills, the ability to work on their own initiative and has the following:

  • Previous experience of conveyancing procedures including leasehold.
  • Experience of having worked within a busy conveyancing environment
  • Strong and efficient secretarial and admin skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Fast, accurate typing ability
  • IT literate – Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience of using a case management system (although not essential as training will be provided)

Salary & Benefits: Competitive depending on experience, flexible holiday policy, contributory company pension, staff bonus scheme, healthcare cash back scheme and membership to Perkbox (discount website).

This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week.

Legal Secretary – Conveyancing – Ryde

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary to join our Residential Conveyancing Department to be based at our Ryde office. Working directly with a fee earner you will support them in all day to day activities to include typing of correspondence, liaising with clients, other firms and estate agents, scanning of important documents and ensuring that all files are kept in order and compliant with CQS and Lexcel quality standards.

The Ideal Candidate

A legal secretary who is pro-active, has excellent client care skills, the ability to work on their own initiative and has the following:

  • Previous experience of conveyancing procedures
  • experience of having worked within a reception environment
  • Strong and efficient secretarial and admin skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Fast, accurate typing ability
  • IT literate – Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience of using a case management system (although not essential as training will be provided)
