At Biscoes, we offer expert guidance in immigration law, with a particular emphasis on business and personal immigration matters.

Sultana Ali is a Business Immigration Solicitor and a Level 2 Accredited Supervisor with the Law Society. She specialises in advising businesses on obtaining sponsor licences, ensuring compliance with sponsorship duties, and supporting the sponsorship of skilled workers entering the UK. With over 8 years of experience, Sultana manages a diverse caseload that includes business immigration, private immigration, and legal aid matters. She is supervised by our Managing Director, Alison Lee, a solicitor with over 30 years of experience in the legal profession.

Kashif Kamran is a Senior Immigration Executive and a Level 2 Accredited member of the Law Society Immigration Panel. He brings over 4 years of experience in the immigration sector and handles a broad range of private and legal aid cases. Kashif specialises in both personal and business immigration matters and maintains a success rate of 98%, offering clients confidence in the thorough management of their cases. He is also supervised by Alison Lee.

Price for appeal work can be quoted after the merits have been assessed for the case, starting from £3000 + 20% VAT

First –Tier Tribunal/ Upper Tribunal Fees

To include representation at your case management/initial hearing a fixed fee: (please see the table)

The fee includes:

• Taking your instructions before the hearing
• Preparing the appeal bundle
• Explaining the Tribunal procedure to you so you know what to expect on the day of your hearing
• Representing client at the Tribunal
• Includes advice on appeal

The fee does not include:

• Preparing any expert witness statement – if required, the expert will prepare this
• Travel costs to the Tribunal
• Tribunal fee of lodging the appeal

Tribunal Fees

The Tribunal fees will be charged separately and will be additional to the legal costs. These fees do not attract VAT.

Barristers/ Counsel

If your case goes to appeal hearing, we will instruct a highly qualified barrister to attend and represent you in court. The cost of the barrister is included in all quotations above. This is subject to the knowledge and experience of the barrister selected. Prices are commensurate with the barrister’s skill and expertise. If the barrister is senior, the quotation will increase to reflect this. These fees will attract VAT at 20%.

Experts

In certain cases expert evidence may be required to put forward your best possible case. Should there be a need of an expert report the price will vary dependent on each case and on each expert’s costs. Most expert fees will attract VAT at 20%.

Travel

Mileage will be charged at a rate of 45p per mile measured from the office your solicitor travels from to the Tribunal and back. Parking will be charged on top of this. Mileage and parking will attract VAT at 20%
