GBM Secondment Worker
The Secondment Worker route is for overseas workers who wish to be temporarily seconded to the UK by their employer as part of a high-value contract or investment.
Eligibility for the Secondment Worker Visa
To be eligible under the Secondment Worker route, you must:
- Be 18 or over.
- Be an existing employee of an overseas organisation that has a high-value contract with your UK sponsor, which has been approved by the Home Office.
- Have worked for your overseas employer for at least 12 months outside the UK.
- Have a valid Certificate of Sponsorship from your sponsor with details of the work you will do in the UK.
- Do a job in the UK that is on the list of eligible occupations.
- Have a genuine job to undertake.
- Ensure that the job is skilled to at least RQF Level 6, meaning it must be equivalent to a graduate-level role.
- Have enough money to financially support yourself without relying on public funds.
- Provide a valid TB certificate, if required.
For this visa, you do not need to meet the English language requirement.
Dependants
Your dependents (partner and children) can join you under this visa; however, they must meet the relationship and financial requirements.
Application Costs
- £319 Home Office application fee
- Annual Immigration Health Surcharge: £1,035 per year
In addition to these fees, you are typically expected to have at least £1,270 in a personal account to show that you can financially support yourself.
