George Fielding
George is a Graduate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in our Residential Property Department. George joined Biscoes in 2021 and qualified as a Graduate Member in 2012.
George can advise on:
- Sales of Residential Property and Land – Including high-value flats, garden land, and probate sales.
- Purchases of Residential Property – Including new build properties and complex unregistered titles.
- Staircasing of Shared Ownership Properties – Staircasing is the process of buying more shares in your home after you become a shared owner.
- Lease Extensions and Deeds of Variation – This includes amending the terms of a lease, for example, increasing the term of years, altering the ground rent provisions, or any other alteration that may be required.
- Remortgages and Transfers of Equity – This includes reporting on mortgage offers, redeeming existing mortgages, drawing down the mortgage funds, and registering the new mortgage against the property at the Land Registry and/or transferring the property into the required names if a transfer of equity.
- Declarations of Trust – For joint owners wishing to document their share in the property and how the property should be dealt with upon sale or future events.
- Selling the Freehold and the Right of First Refusal
- Completing Leasehold Property Enquiries (LPE1) on behalf of freeholders and management companies.
Did you know? Outside of work, George enjoys playing music and is a keen amateur musician, playing the French horn, piano, and violin. George is a member of the Southdowns Concert Band and performs regularly across the South Coast with them. It is quite apt given that George has previously acted for a famous rock star in the purchase of a farmhouse.
George is also a Portsmouth City Councillor for Central Southsea Ward. He lives in the heart of Southsea with his two cats, Wallis and Bertie.
