Emily Hilton

Trainee Solicitor

Emily is a Trainee Solicitor in Biscoes' Court of Protection and Mental Health team. She is committed to supporting clients and their families through challenging circumstances with empathy, understanding and practical legal assistance.

Currently undertaking her first seat within the team, Emily supports clients and colleagues across a range of sensitive and often complex matters.

Emily studied Law with Criminology (LLB) at the University of Surrey and is currently undertaking her LPC LLM alongside her training contract. Prior to beginning her training contract, she gained experience as a Legal Assistant within Private Family law and later worked as a Paralegal in Care and Adoption.

These roles provided valuable insight into supporting individuals and families during difficult periods of their lives and helped develop her interest in Court of Protection, Mental Health, Private Family, and Care and Adoption work.

Emily is passionate about helping people navigate challenging situations and understands that seeking legal advice can often feel overwhelming. She values the opportunity to provide reassurance, guidance and practical support, ensuring clients feel listened to, supported and informed throughout their matter.

She is particularly motivated by helping individuals and families achieve the best possible outcomes and believes in taking a compassionate, approachable and client-focused approach to her work.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys keeping active at the gym, indulging in a spot of shopping, and catching up with friends over good food.
