Conveyancer

We are looking for a Qualified Conveyancer (Licensed Conveyancer, CILEX, or Solicitor) with at least 3+years PQE, to work in our Residential Conveyancing Department.  Working from our Portsmouth office you will although be able to work with minimal supervision and undertake a range of residential transactions from initial instruction through to post completion.

It is essential that the successful individual is competent in using a case management system and possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, liaising with all levels and enjoys working within a target driven environment.

You will be focused to deliver excellent client service whilst confident and able to develop business connections, bring on new clients as well as build relationships with the local estate agencies and work introducers.

In addition you will be an effective team player, have good technical knowledge, be able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and will have close links to the local area.  

Key competencies:

• You will have sound technical knowledge of conveyancing matters
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Demonstrate attention to detail with sound numerical ability

Conveyancing Secretary

We are seeking a Conveyancing Secretary to join our Residential Conveyancing Department to be based at our Portsmouth  office. Working directly with the Conveyancing Solicitor you will support them in all day to day activities to include typing of correspondence, liaising with clients, other firms and estate agents, scanning of important documents and ensuring that all files are kept in order and compliant with CQS, Lexcel & ISO9001 quality standards.

The role will entail the utilisation of audio typing, so a high degree of letter layout and formatting will be required.

Legal Secretary – Notary Public/Probate

We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Notary Public Department.  The role is to be working directly with our three Notary Public Solicitors and to support them in all day to day activities to include typing of correspondence, liaising with clients, making appointments, preparing documentation for authentication, scanning of important documents and ensuring that all files are kept in order and compliant with Lexcel & ISO9001 Quality Standards.

The successful candidates will have;

  • Previous experience in Notary Public would be useful but not essential
  • Strong and efficient secretarial and admin skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Fast, accurate typing ability
  • IT literate – Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Organisational skills
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
