File closing administrators – Conveyancing – North End office

Biscoes is a well established and growing law firm situated on the South Coast and Isle of Wight. We pride ourselves in providing a professional approach in a friendly environment.

The role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for two file closing administrators working in residential property. Supporting them in all day to day activities to include typing of correspondence, scanning of important documents, using Land Registry Portal (and other online applications) and ensuring that all files are kept in order and compliant with CQS and Lexcel quality standards. Although the roles are based our Portsmouth office it may involve the successful candidates having to travel to provide cover in other offices therefore a degree of flexibility will be required.

The Ideal Candidate

A legal secretary who is pro-active, has excellent client care skills, the ability to work on their own initiative and has the following:

Previous experience of conveyancing procedures

Strong and efficient secretarial and admin skills

High level of attention to detail

Excellent organisational skills

Good telephone manner

Fast, accurate typing ability

IT literate – Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook

Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality

Experience of using a case management system (although not essential as training will be provided)

This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week.
