The role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Property Solicitor/Legal Executive at our Head Office managing a caseload of Commercial property files including acquisition and sale of commercial premises, licenses, site acquisitions, rentals and contracts.

The Ideal Candidate

An experienced Solicitor or Legal Executive in Commercial Property matters and the ability to run their own caseload, is pro-active, has excellent client care skills and the ability to promote the office, successfully develop business connections, bring on new clients and expand the current workload.

The role is full time (35 hours per week).

Legal Secretary – Family Department - Wickham

We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Family Department to be based at our Wickham office. Working directly with a fee-earner you will support them in all day to day activities to include typing of correspondence, preparing bundles, liaising with clients and third parties, requesting reports, diary management and filing whilst ensuring that all files are kept in order and compliant with Lexcel quality standards.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience of family procedures
  • Previous experience of court work
  • Strong and efficient secretarial and admin skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Fast, accurate typing ability
  • IT literate – Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality

Marketing Executive, Portsmouth

Hampshire and Isle of Wight based law firm. Biscoes has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and creative marketing professional to join our fantastic team.

The role

This excellent opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Executive, to work closely with the Operations and Marketing Director, to be responsible for:-

  • Generating ideas, design and promote marketing initiatives/campaigns
  • Assist staff with writing website profiles, blogs and articles
  • Proactively sourcing information for PR purposes and writing press releases
  • Sourcing promotional merchandise for exhibitions and events
  • Contributing to social media posts and co-ordinating strategy for the firm
  • Events coordination

The Ideal Candidate

The successful marketing executive will have the following skill set:

  • A graduate degree (marketing or digital media marketing)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Good time management, with natural ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with the Directors and other senior individuals to formulate campaigns

Legal Secretary – Conveyancing – North End

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary to join our Residential Conveyancing Department to be based at our North End office. Working directly with fee earners you will support them in all day to day activities to include typing of correspondence, liaising with clients, other firms and estate agents, scanning of important documents and ensuring that all files are kept in order and compliant with CQS and Lexcel quality standards.

The Ideal Candidate

A legal secretary who is pro-active, has excellent client care skills, the ability to work on their own initiative and has the following:

  • Previous experience of conveyancing procedures and ideally leasehold procedures
  • experience of having worked within a reception environment
  • Strong and efficient secretarial and admin skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Fast, accurate typing ability
  • IT literate – Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience of using a case management system (although not essential as training will be provided)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor/Legal Executive with Level 2 IAAS Accreditation to assist our team that deals with a wide variety of personal and business immigration matters.  Ideally, you will have 2+ years’ PQE within an immigration role, good academic qualifications. You will be expected to be able to deal with the following type of Legal Aid and privately funded matters:

  • Private applications under the immigration rules
  • EEA applications
  • Points based system applications
  • Sponsor licences
  • First-Tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal appeals
  • Judicial Review
  • Unaccompanied asylum seeking minors

The Ideal Candidate

Pro-active and possess excellent client care skills as well as being a team player that thrives in an environment of shared goals and achievements to ensure the ongoing success of the team. Contributing to the growth of the immigration team, the candidate will also be able to stay up-to-date with changes and have excellent attention to detail. The ability to speak Arabic would be beneficial but not essential.
