Gifts to Attorneys and Deputies

We also deal with applications to the Court of Protection to allow gifts to be made from the assets of a person who has a deputy or attorney acting for them.  Attorneys and deputies having limited authority to make gifts, however they can apply to the Court of Protection for authority to make large gifts from the funds they manage.

Gifting can be used:

  • in financial planning, for example to minimise Inheritence Tax
  • to recognise a family members contribution to the care of a loved one
  • to provide financial support for a family member in need
  • Each family's circumstances are unique and we have extensive experience in making applications to the Court in a wide range of circumstances.

Our experienced team is committed to providing a sympathetic, approachable and professional support.
