If any of your employees are found to be working in the UK illegally you could be fined up to £20,000 per employee or sentenced to up to 5 years in prison.

From 1 February 2016, landlords, agents and householders, must check that all tenants have a right to rent in the UK before renting out their property. Anyone who does not make reasonable enquiries to check that their tenants are allowed to occupy residential accommodation in the UK under the immigration provisions may be liable for a civil penalty of up to £3,000 per tenant.
