Family Solicitor

A superb opportunity for two Family Solicitors to join a growing law firm with 6 offices along the South Coast who pride themselves in providing a professional approach in a friendly environment.

Biscoes Solicitors is historically one of the longest serving Portsmouth based firms that merged in 1994. The firm has continued to grow over the years and moves confidently into the 21st Century, whilst remaining steadfastly committed to the provision of a traditional and locally based legal service.

We have two positions available one at our Head Office in Portsmouth and one at our Petersfield branch. We are seeking a Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our offices who is able to manage a caseload consisting of divorce, finances and private law children matters. The successful candidates must be pro-active, have excellent client care skills and the ability to successfully market the firm and generate new business. We would consider applications for both full-time and part-time positions.

Ideally, you will have 3+ years’ PQE within a Family role, good academic qualifications and a willingness to become a committed member of our successful team.

Immigration Solicitor or Level 2/3 OISC Advisor, Portsmouth  

A superb opportunity for an experienced Immigration Advisor to join a growing law firm with 6 offices in Hampshire, who pride themselves in providing a professional approach in a friendly environment.

Biscoes Law is one of the longest established Portsmouth based firms who have continued to grow over the years and moves confidently into the 21st Century, whilst remaining steadfastly committed to the provision of a traditional and locally based legal service.

We are seeking a Solicitor or Level 2/3 OISC Advisor to assist our team that deals with a wide variety of personal and business immigration matters.  Ideally, you will have 2+ years’ PQE within an immigration role, good academic qualifications. You will be expected to be able to deal with the following type of privately funded matters:

  • private applications under the immigration rules
  • EEA applications
  • Points based system applications
  • Sponsor licences
  • First-Tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal appeals
  • Judicial Review

The successful candidate will be pro-active and possess excellent client care skills as well as being a team player that thrives in an environment of shared goals and achievements to ensure the ongoing success of the team.  Contributing to the growth of the immigration team, the candidate will also be able to stay up-to-date with changes and have excellent attention to detail.

Senior Conveyancer – Float  

A superb opportunity for an experienced Conveyancer to join a growing law firm with 6 offices along the South Coast who pride themselves in providing a professional approach in a friendly environment.

We are seeking a Senior Conveyancer to join the Residential Conveyancing Team who is able to work with minimal supervision. The main purpose of this role is to provide cover for your colleague’s case-load during their absence and it is therefore essential that the successful candidate is able to perform the full range of tasks associated with the conveyancing process and required time-scales within a high volume residential conveyancing environment.

As a Senior Conveyancer, you be able to effectively provide support to the team as and when required across all 6 offices, therefore your own transportation is required together with an expectation and willingness to strengthen our client relationships to ensure a smooth continued service to all stakeholders during the fee earners absence. 

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 6 years’ PQE within a residential property role, able to work to meet strict deadlines, be pro-active, have excellent client care skills and a willingness to become a committed member of our successful team.
